Prize Draw Terms & Conditions – Letter to Santa
1. Promoter
The prize draw (“Prize Draw”) is organised and administered by Millers Homewares Ltd, 6–10 Westway, Frome, Somerset, BA11 1BS (“the Promoter”).
2. Eligibility
The Prize Draw is open to children aged under 16 at the time of entry.
A parent or legal guardian must give permission for the child to participate.
Employees of the Promoter and their immediate families are not eligible to enter.
3. How to Enter
To enter, participants must post a “Letter to Santa” using the method and address/location provided by the Promoter.
Only one entry per child is permitted.
No purchase is necessary to enter or win.
Entries must be received by 24 December at 12:59 (local time).
4. Prize Draw Date
One winning letter will be selected at random on 24 December from all eligible entries received.
5. Prize
The prize is a £100 Ellenbray gift voucher.
The prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or an alternative prize unless the Promoter offers an alternative of equal or greater value.
6. Winner Notification
The winning child’s parent or guardian will be contacted using the details provided at the time of entry.
If contact cannot be made within 7 days, the Promoter may select an alternative winner.
7. Data Protection (GDPR)
7.1 Data Controller
Millers Homewares Ltd is the data controller responsible for the processing of personal data collected for this Prize Draw.
7.2 What Personal Data is Collected
Parent/guardian contact details (name, phone number, email or postal address).
Child’s first name and age (if voluntarily provided).
7.3 Legal Basis for Processing
Personal data is processed under:
Article 6(1)(b) GDPR – performance of a contract (administering the Prize Draw).
Article 6(1)(a) GDPR – parental/guardian consent (required for a child’s participation).
7.4 How Personal Data Will Be Used
To administer the Prize Draw.
To contact the winner’s parent/guardian.
For no other purpose unless explicit parental/guardian consent is provided.
7.5 Data Sharing
Personal data will not be shared with third parties except where required by law or where necessary to deliver the prize.
Data will not be transferred outside the UK or EEA.
7.6 Data Retention
Personal data will be securely stored and retained only as long as necessary to administer the Prize Draw and meet legal obligations.
All personal data will be deleted within 30 days of the prize being awarded, except data required for audit or compliance.
7.7 Rights of Parents/Guardians
Parents/guardians may:
Request access to personal data held;
Request correction or deletion;
Withdraw consent at any time before the draw;
Object to or restrict processing.

7.8 Complaints
Parents/guardians have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) if they believe their data has been mishandled.
8. General Conditions
The Promoter is not responsible for lost, delayed, or misdirected entries.
The Promoter may refuse entries that do not comply with these Terms & Conditions.
The Promoter may cancel or modify the Prize Draw due to unforeseen circumstances.
By entering, parents/guardians confirm their agreement to these Terms & Conditions on behalf of the participating child.
9. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
